Sit ups or crunches
As basic as it may seem, situps and crunches are the easiest ab workout to do on a couch. It targets all of your abdominal muscles effectively. The one thing you should look out for is to not hunch forward as it can cause injuries. You can increase the intensity by holding a plate or a dumbbell in your hands.
It is a simple yet effective workout for your oblique muscles mainly. It would help tone your abs and work on your waist as well. To increase the intensity of the workout, you can add some weights such as dumbbells or even a plate. Or you can even lift your legs while keeping your knees bent.
Flutter kicks reshape and tone your lower abdominal muscles. All you have to do is lay on your back, lift your feet off the ground and move them up and down while keeping your head pointed towards the ceiling. Make sure that your lower back remains on the ground without arching it.
Leg raises can do wonders for your lower abdominal muscles. Not just that but it can also improve stability and balance.
Summer is just around the corner so let’s take advantage of every minute we have to get closer to our summer bodies. You can do these ab exercises while watching your favorite shows or movies. You can either do 3 sets of 20 reps for example or can even time yourself for several sets instead.
